Being a teen in quarantine, is probably one of the hardest things I've ever done. We thrive on the social interaction with our friends. Being apart from them is like being stuck on an island alone, or a desert and having no help. Facetiming friends is not the same as hanging out with friends in person. It's not that we do not understand what is going on, it's that we are frustrated with it. Imagine the one thing that makes you laugh a little extra on a day, is taken away from you. The closest we can get to any of our friends, is driving by each other's houses. We have tried to cope with this new "norm", however teens and other children are starting to defy the social distancing rules. We need to keep social distancing so that we can have a fun summer sooner!
