What's The American Dream

What is the American Dream, well according to google the American Dream is, "the belief that anyone, regardless of where they are born or what social class they are born into, can obtain their own version of success in society." Movie stereotypes the "American Dream" to be a caucasian family of 4 and their gold retriever living in a two-story white picket fence house. Everyone has different versions of the American Dream, for example for me, being a low-income, first-generation, Latino living in the U.S, my American Dream is for my family to be financially stable and break the system of being the first in my family to go to college. Maybe for a homeless, their American Dream could be finding a place to live in and being financially independent. For a middle-class family, it could be trying to get higher in social class and obtaining more wealth. Overall The American Dream comes in many shapes and sizes, but we should never stop dreaming. Try your hardest to obtain your version of the American Dream no matter how big or small it is!
